Library Services for Faculty

Instructions, tips and help for faculty using GWC Library resources and services.

What is a Search Alert?

A Search Alert is a personalized email sent to you which notifies you when the results of a specific search are available for viewing in a database.

Want to know what new research is being done on autonomous vehicles? Interested in seeing if a scientist in your field publishes something new? Create a Search Alert by creating a 'MyEBSCO account.'

Search Alerts can be set up for many of the library's databases.

EBSCO provided these instructions to help get you started. Proquest, Gale, and others have similar features. All require that you create a personal account within the GWC subscriptions.
